Any one using aftermarket ignition coils? My stock ones are not in the best shape as they are. Was going to put new plug boots on but the more I look the worse they look. I am thinking I would be better off getting some new ones. I have seen them at Z1 parts I think for about $100 or so. How has been your luck with them if your using them?

I tested that black repro set you're talking about and they appear to be decent coils. I got mine from Jessbikes.

Thanks Jim. I got the NGK plug caps today i ordered but after looking at what I have available for coils I may just try something new instead. it isn't a restoration and they won't be seen at all

I've been using the moped coils discussed in the forum a few years ago. They don't cost much and they work great with a little bit of work. They don't look stock but you wouldn't know unless the gas tank is removed.
