Hello Everyone,

i'm currently running my triples (H1D and H2..) with a fully synt ELF injection oil, and I can't complain at all, the only thing missing is some good "old school" smell, I foung that there are very few injector oils that cointains cator, and Blendzall Ultra is one of them.
I'm looking to get some, but I was wondering if I should carefully flush the oil system or maybe it's enough to drain the oid oil and fill up the new one.

Of course newer castors are degummed so they wont gum up like back in the days, but I was wondering if I can get any issue.

To get the "Castrol R" and "Blendzall" smells in our oil injected street bikes, we'd add a single ounce of the stuff to a full tank of fuel, no more. It will never be like 24:1 premix, but, you adjust to it.

We used to be sponsored by Ray Hook at Blendzall, when it was still extremely gum laden.

Thats intresting....

I tried the “one once in a tank” trick on another two stroke, but I havent hot any results, but maybe is because that specific veichle uses so little fuel (an old 150cc Vespa from the 70’s) that the burned castor was next to nothing.

Hopefullly i will be able to try that in the triple soon.... (if the rain stops!).

But i’m also curious about running Blendzall Ultra on them :)

Tested both triples with 0.5% Catrol R in the fuel tank, I maybe for a slight effect; however I have a box of Blendzall coming from the US, right now it's already at the customs.... hopefully will be at my home in few days.

About replacing it, I was thinking to "pull" the existing oil out of the oil tank with a siringe and then fill it with blendzall..... The oil system works perfectly and I dont want to go thru the process of flushing/bleeding it again.

In the past I bent a rod on the H1D due to a faulty check valve, but since I rebiult the oil system of both H1 and H2 I never had a single issue (touching wood..)

Even after few months of storage there was no oil drained in the crankcase :)

I'll keep you updated
Cheers

Listen to tuner.

Many been there and some actually done that.

Castor cannot be "de gummed" to work.

If ya want a rear end exh. smell, try the diesel guys putting fragrance oil in the fuel tank.

New to me just yesterday.

I've never heard of the Ultra, it being a full synthetic, I doubt it smells anywhere near castor bean oils.

yup, that's what they promise.

I have a case at home waiting for me to be back (i'm on a business trip...) i'll drain the system, test it and i'll check.

Worst case it'll be another good injection oil. ;)

Here a small review of te "ultra":

The night before the swap I mixed in a clear glass one oz of Ultra with one oz of my previous oil... I did it to make sure they didnt do crazy stuff if there was still some residue in the oil system. after 16 hrs they were still mixed up nicely, without any reaction (it's true: blendzall blends with all haha).

Then I drained with a big siringe all the oil from the oil tanks of both the H1D and H2, poured a couple of bottles of "ultra" and went for a ride with my dad.

After about 10 miles we stopped and the oil lined looked good: pinkish fluid inside and no bubble (previous oil was dark blue, Ultra is clear-pinkish..).

Smokes is very little, comparable to the previous oil, but when you throttle up you can clearly smell the Castor scent. I loved it.

So far I like it a lot.
