I'm a fan of NGK spark plugs. It seems they are discontinuing the B9HS and will only make the BR9HS resistor plugs.
What are the thoughts on this. Will it be an issue, any mods needed?

The resistor version has 5k resistors. That's not great and may be OK, but an H2's CDI system is very high-energy and can blow 10k resistors in resistor type caps. Maybe load up on B9HS plugs from eBay while they're still there.

You can get heat-range rated NGK surface gap plugs, I have BU8H for start up and run in, but I have a Nev. Lush retard ignition system. Do the electrical guys have any opinion on these, I think they are popular with the outboard motor crew?!

Surface gap spark plugs ARE NOT for magneto CDI systems, only for the battery CDI on early H1.

Resistor plugs are NOT used on the magneto CDI systems, they will cause overworking of the coils, then, the CDI units, to failure.

A projected tip plug can be carefully used in combustion chambers that have had NO modification.

NGK are the very best for our engines and ignition systems.

I tried surface gap plugs on my H1 years ago, it would detonate with them, not sure why.
My Yamaha XV750 cafe bike will drop a cylinder on a cold start if I don't shut the choke off quick enough, choke jets too rich, TM38 carbs. Anyway, my response is to pull the offending cylinder's plug cap off a small amount while it's running on the other cylinder, off enough so the plug cap contact is disconnected some. This usually brings that cylinder to life quickly. Reason, it sends the voltage needed to fire that plug much higher, so it's probably like a resistor plug, but it's very hard on the coils, could force it to short the coil internally if it overcomes the coil internal resistance I think.

A little info from NGK's website. I do notice that information on the Kawasaki Triples Resources site lists the NGK 3626 BH9HS-10, but for some reason NGK's site lists it as incompatible. They only list the NGK 5810 BH9HS as compatible, and the BR9HS now that the 5810 is out of production.
Good to know the Autolite 4092 works.

The -10 refers to a factory set 1.00mm gap, I believe. So, the same as a B9HS. (Which is still generally available here in Aus.)
