Hello.

Now I've finally got my h1a up and running, what should I use for the oil line running from the tank to oil pump. The peice of rubbish in using at the mo is pvc. But I know I should be using a better rubber type. What do you guys use? The reinforced fuel car tubing stuff available at the motor factors. Or a thinner non reinforced type? Just worried about the clearance through the crankcase opening if I run the thicker stuff.

Thanks for your time.

It's not under pressure, so any tubing that's compatible with oil would work fine.

Obviously they needed to use black tubing for the H2s to be able to handle the extra 250cc.

The area under the oil pump cover gets hot and some tubing can be weakened as it breaks down. You want something that can take around 200 degrees F. I tried some oil compatible Tygon on the pump supply line that is rated for 160 degrees F and it got soft and gummy in that area over time (several months), however the rest of the line was fine. Not sure when it would fail so I used better stuff.
