Hi everyone, putting the H2 on a center stand is simply difficult; has anyone tried to solve the problem mechanically by changing the leverage system, or is there no alternative? Regards

The only trick I've heard about is to bend the spring and insert coins or washers repeatedly until it's long enough to go on.

Place left hand on left handlebar grip with Left foot sturdy on CS arm piece sticking out with a pushing down forward motion with left foot while right hand pulls up with a right rear lifting motion on chrome rear handle. Try it!

The way described by Evans is the same as the one I use with the difference that I use the right foot on the CS, it gives me more balance. Jim, I don't quite understand the trick of putting washers or coins.

Jim's been wearing his mask too long. He's talking about installing the spring on the center stand.

Yeah, I read it as "putting the center stand on an H2". I guess I wasn't expecting the other question!

Come to think of it, I do use my right foot on the CS to leverage that end. Been awhile since I rode it and it does have the CS installed presently.

If the stand wears a bit at the pivot, you are further behind the "moment-arm" equation, you have got more work to do. Then there is a knack to it as others have said. You can build up the "stoppers" to have it sit higher, and therefore easier to lift. I read this back to myself a couple of times, and I think it makes sense......

Many bikes have way too much rear wheel to ground clearance when on the center stand. I had a KZ1100 Spectre that was almost impossible to get on the stand, with stock ride height. I took the stand off and cut 5/8" out of the legs and after that it was so easy to lift. If you have added shorter rear shocks, or lowered the front, this makes it much harder too. No bike really needs more than 1/2" of rear wheel clearance when on it's center stand.

My H2 was hard to get on the center stand. I used to back up and kick it down, and use the inertia of the bike to get it up on it. The problem was that after a while the stand an/or the frame bent and it got to where the wheels were still on the pavement. I took it off and haven't used it since.
