Here, Zink is considered one of the White metal components, and I think stock carbs were made of it, or, a very close blend.

Thanks, Dave, yes, just noting the stock carbs weren't Aluminium. (be nice if they were!)

Agreed, they'd carburet a lot better if they were aluminum.,
