My ‘72 H2 has a hole in the triple clamp where the steering lock should go. Are they available at all? I like my bikes to be complete and functional.

Thanks
Mark

Some people would have the locks sitting around - held in with a soft rivet, I think, on the H2's, the early H1's had a wire circlip on the back. Getting a key is another thing, tho. Not hard to resolve.

I'd think a locksmith could re-key one to match the ignition switch key like they originally did.

There is a repro available. It is listed with the ignition lock. I would call them to see if it can be bought by itself.

Or get them both and have the same key for both.

That's what I did on my S2. I didn't care about the fork lock but replaced it anyway. Parts seemed to be well made.

Instead of locking the fork I used to swap two spark plug leads and imagine someone trying to start it to ride off with it.

I'd forget that I did that...……! Rode off a couple of times with a padlock thru. the back sprocket, around the chain...….. snapped like a carrot!!
