yup, after finally compared gauge to new one borrowed from parts store,i get 155 psi ,bad gauge i have.but with a squish of 0.070 ,would think it would be less,0.020 base gaskets ,0.020 stock head gasket, i guess i can live with this, any thoughts? i took off the head and used the lead solder side to side and gently compressed it into the head, maybe i should kick it hard to get a less squish reading. :eh:

The factory compression is 150-155. With the stock deck height as that's how they were designed. When correcting the squish clearance the compression goes up, then and has to be corrected.
