My H2B has an H1 oil pump lever on the H2B pump. It is stamped H1 on the lever. I see there is a part number difference, 16096 006 for the H2 and 16096 003 for the H1 lever. Apart from the stamped markings, does anyone know if there is an actual difference or reason I should get an H2 lever? Different radius for the cable for example, that would make the opening degrees different maybe? It does seem to max out at WOT and puts the pump cable at an unusual pull angle.

I think they change them to the H1's so it allows or better cable adjustment with larger carbs.

I believe there is a slight difference in the radius which allows more oil to be pumped. I wouldn't be worried about changing it though.

Thanks, the reason this came up was because I fitted the TM34 and couldn't get full throttle, and none of the slides had the same travel, one would feel to be full (finger in the top of the carb bore) and the other two were not the same. Baffled, I went to set the oil pump and saw it was what was keeping it from getting WOT. After I adjusted it, all the problems went away, it must have been causing the 1 into 4 cable slide to tilt inside it's housing I figure. Anyway, the oil pump cable is not real happy about the extra travel by the looks of it, on the pump arm.

Thanks a lot for the link and info. No idea why mine already had an H1 bail, or pump pulley on it. Maybe when my bike was shipped by my other brother from New Zealand, the pump didn't have the H2 pulley on it and we had a LOT of H1 parts there, he took one and put it on that pump, not sure. I'll mess with the bail crimp tab and release it a little and make the pump cable a little happier and not bind up as much.

Well, a lot of the cable cams bit the big one after the cable was changed a few times. Instead of just opening the tang a "bit" and closing it a "bit", they got all squished and then broke off, so the cable cam was replaced. Kawasaki expected these bikes to be around for more than a few years, and have numerous cable changes.
