Hey Gang, Good news: After several years I have my H1 up and running again. The bad news? My front brake caliper froze up while it was parked and I have Jim's pipes which don't allow for a centerstand. I don't need the wheel up in the air to deal with it but it does pose the question of having to suspend either end in the future. How do those of you without a centerstand deal with it? I thought I could bolt on the centerstand when I need to but the pipes are too close to the bracket. I suppose I could remove the exhaust when I need to work on it but would like to avoid it if I can.
Thanks!

I have one of those swing arm stands. I lift the back then use a little a screw jack with a piece of wood that goes between the exhaust to a frame member up front and jack it up... it’s scary as hell but it works and I haven’t tipped it yet :wtf:

Oh and as soon as I get the wheel off I place the forks down on a milk crate I don’t leave it jacked like that only to get the wheel off and on

Use tiedowns on the bars and suspend it from something like a strong rafter in the garage. You can use the rear grab bar in the back. Axle lift stands also do good if you fit them up right.

I don't think a swingarm stand will work. The center pipe runs directly underneath. I might be able to fab something that supports it from the spacer on the brake side and the axle bolt on the sprocket side. Yikes.
No rafters to hang from but maybe some kind of handlebar stand or the trusty bottle jack solution with tie-downs.
Thanks everyone,
Jim

Bit of work, but I bought an Ebay adjustable stand and fabricated stands that pick up the front engine mount cross tube and the main stand pivot tube, and bolted them to the top surface. Had to also weld the adj stand links to the cross bars or it was wobbly. Lifts both wheels off evenly and it's stable.
