Post subject:  stock h2 piston ring identification

This is probably covered in another post, but I can't seem to find it. I am trying to determine which of my stock h2 piston rings goes on top. My manual says that the top ring is 'easy to identify because it has chamfered edges and a chromed outer surface'. I call BS, can't tell at all. I have one ring with a couple of markings on the top side of it, the other ring is blank. Any thoughts?

It looks like the bottom ring is the same thickness as the top ring, but the 'width' of the ring is smaller, to accommodate the backup spring.

There should be no backup spring, as in a 4 stroke oil ring? Not sure on H2 rings, often there is a dot on the top of the top ring.

It's been forever, but I believe the H2 pistons do have the helper spring ring under the second ring.

EDIT looks like it. https://www.ebay.com/itm/KAWASAKI-H2-75 ... rx&vxp=mtr
