Is there an option to upgrade our sealed beam halogen headlight to something that will except an H4 LED Filament? And fit in the OEM bezel.

Fit a rim from reproductiondecals.com. Convert to a 7 inch Cibie lens and H4 bulb.

I've done this, the brightest headlight I have. the LED bulb needs to be as far forward as possible for the pattern, high beam and low beam aren't much different. I paid $17 for the unit, Draws 22 watts.

Resurrecting this topic. I tried riding my H1 the other night and the stock headlight is just about useless. It needs to be upgraded.

So my plan right now is to get a replacement headlight assemble that will use an H-4 bulb, this one: https://www.diablocycle.com/Kawasaki-Tr ... embly.html

Then to get an LED replacement for the H-4 halogen bulb, this one: https://www.superbrightleds.com/moreinf ... mens/3930/

I'm somewhat concerned about this solution, as there is not a lot of extra space in the H1D headlight shell when assembled on the bike, and the LED lamp run hot (so the product listing warns). I'm worried the lamp will melt some of the wires.

Am I worried about nothing?

Is there a better solution for a headlight upgrade?

Here's the setup I'm running on my KE100, works quite a bit better than the stock sealed beam.

Hella Lights sealed beam H4 conversion globe, SAE/DOT version, comes with 12v bulb (5 3/4" for the KE)

Octane Lighting H4 6v 35w/35w halogen bulbs.

I used one of the 7” Vintage Car LED sealed beam headlights that Iron recommended in my GT750. It really works and looks nice. I will be putting one in my H2 also.

I ride a lot at night and installed the GE Nighthawk LED. This is a serious light and blows away any H4 I have seen that fits into the current draw restrictions faced by the H series alternators.

I bought the H4 kit from Diablo which provides an H4 pigtail and a chrome ring. Not cheap, but brilliant light and serious build quality.

Do you need tower clearance to buy one?....lol

Tower clearance is only an issue when you snap the throttle in first and second - after that, it's just a horizontal beam LOL

Here is the same lamp under the Trucklite brand:

OK, I have the same one on my Ninja 250, but it's Peterson branded. It's a very nice headlight if you don't mind that it sticks out past the headlight housing an inch or so.
