Until you get the proper "key switch connection", might try what I do on my '70 H1. Have installed the oil tank shutoff, and now just dangle my ignition key ON the shut-off lever itself. (that's really the only key I use right now). :thumbup: Mark

Evans, sorry I missed your post. I modified a Swagelok valve by shaping the handle stem to push the lever of a small Cherry switch. I had to make an accurate bracket to support the switch so the flat I put on the handle stem would push the lever on the switch just right. If you want to try this approach, let me know and I'll get the photos for you.

The easier way would be to find a valve with an integrated switch. They exist, but are not very common.
