You really need to get the cylinder mic-ed out by a shop. Cylinders with holes will oblong with heat and wear.

I plan to. :D

Who have you guys used to have your crank bearings and seals replaced? I looked on resource page and there are several peeps to do so. I want to know who has had their crank done personally, where, turn around time, price and overall opinion on quality.

Thanks in advance!

I have Charlie do all my crank work, he took over for Damon, which was the kawi crank god for many decades. Plus he has the lab crank seals. I hear many good things about Dave in Cali. So you have multiple good choices. you really need to talk to them on prices and timing.

Thanks, I'm in South west Colorado so the closer the better. Found a little "chocolate Milk" in the crank case when I split it. Don't want to take a chance and I'm in this far so............

Ja-moo,
What have you paid in the past for your cranks? I'm talking all main, bottom rod bearings and seals.
Thanks!

You're better off talking to the rebuilders to get a price because there are a lot of options. For example, there are several levels of bearings, from economy to ceramic.

+1 to Charlie, he has rebuilt the cranks in two of my bikes.

Check his thread for current pricing....
