...and have LOTS of questions. I had one back in the day, but am concerned about the following:

-what type (grade, etc) of gas do you recommend? Even 10% ethanol has got to be a problem??
-what type and viscosity oil is recommended for the transmission?
-what type and/or brand of 2 stroke oil do you recommend?
-the bike does not have the turn signals? Are they available? And from whom?
-is there a parts supplier that most use and recommend?

The bike is a survivor, and looks to be in very good condition. While I have not seen it ‘face to face’ yet, I hope to do so in the next few weeks and look forward to getting back on a two stoke once again. It’s been a long time.

Thanks for your help!

Welcome to the board, ride4now. Premium with 10% ethanol is fine, as long as you're jetted for it. Some guys find non-ethanol gasoline and that works too. :)

Start with the main page of the resource site, and click the "new to triples?" http://www.kawatriple.com/ From there you can go to the FAQ page. Don't hesitate to post questions after that if you have any. The site has a good vendors section to get you started with getting parts.

Let us hope this doesn't turn into a best oil thread.

I can’t add a shot of the bike I’m looking to buy... it’s not mine yet. This is the one I owned back in the day. I can’t wait to get ‘it’ back!

The red 70 H1's are elusive and really hard to find compared to others years of Triples.

Where in GA are you! Macon here.
