Ralf Schipmann does not have any website. You may contact him on facebook, or PM me and I will get the two of you in touch.

I don't quite understand the idea of the "feel" of a hydraulic clutch. Liquid doesn't compress so if it is bled properly, you don't feel anything different then the lack of "stick slip" this is a term used in my business to describe the differential between static and dynamic friction. This is where the hydraulic clutch shines and mine feels like I'm compressing springs, no more, no less.
As far as clutch issues go for not being able to get rid of drag, I can almost be certain that lots of guys are dealing with conical steel plates. I bought 8 new Vesrah plates to take to work to grind down on the surface grinder. I quickly found out that they were far from flat as the magnetic chuck wouldn't even pull them down. I could only imagine what these plates would have been like if installed, likely the stackup would be more than usual causing some drag. Likely the clutch would slip until the fibres were worn to finally make good contact. Even worse if someone took the clutch pack apart and managed to flip a steel plate or 2 in the process.
Bottom line, dont assume new plates are flat! I scrapped the Versah plates and bought Barnetts and yes they were flat and no I don't have any clutch issues with my 15 plate clutch.
I need to get her into neutral before I stop though, I can get it in neutral after stopping butit requires rolling the bike back and forth with a bit of pressure on the shifter.

Well said. When I use a hydraulic actuator, it feels like all the friction is gone and I'm feeling the clutch itself, not the clutch plus cable friction and play. Like getting cataract surgery... suddenly you can see clearly without all the fog.
