Not to hard, just a little tension to get them started. On this one they thread in with extra space to get them started. With the old
thrust washer there wasn't even enough pressure to turn the motor over with the kick starter. It was worn slightly and the new set of frictions
I got are a little wider. So it does turn over but slips as soon as you try to accelerate. Going to take it apart again, 5th time and try something
different. I'll get it figured out if it takes all weekend. May see if I can borrow another complete clutch and compare parts.

At least you don't have to split casings each time like my trouble

Glad you were able to eye-ball that in person. Whod'a thought three things that "looked" fine but obviously were not.

Yes, they are different . . . about as different as the Two in your photo - One set of "serrations" sits taller than the other, If you inverted them and put them spline to spline With the faces part, there would be around a 4mm gap between the clutch faces.

Thanks Barry and Rick. I borrowed another H2 clutch from a original bike so I should see any differences now. If I did end up with a H1 hub that would
explain that lack of pressure. In the picture of the two hubs the one on the left had the top shaved in 5 places plus the base shaved several millimeters.

So I took the clutch cover off and held the second clutch next to it. I could see right away that my pressure plate was setting in
much father. Took it apart and compared the hub, same. Pressure plate, same. Steel plates My plates where .5mm
thinner and I thought I was using H2 plates. When I first took the clutch apart when it had the other setup I thought he used H1
plates but they are way thinner. I had grabbed what I thought was H2 plates since they where thicker but used H1 plates
Looked in my clutch collection box and found a bag with H2 plates

So the H1 plates gave me 3mm of less tension and explain why my pressure plate was sitting low. Will put it all back tomorrow
and should be done.

It's fixed, time to go for a ride. Thanks for letting me borrow the clutch Rodney.
