Hi Guys,
I'm trying to get my H2B up and running. The motor was put together some years back.
It starts and runs but as the motor warms up it wants to die out.If you choke it it keeps going.
I'm thinking cyl base gaskets or maybe inner crank seals.Your thoughts?
Thanks Jess

My first guess would be clogged carbs, Jess.

If it runs pretty good cold, then runs worse as it warms, could be crank seals (inner). Ignition could also be an issue.

I wouldn't expect and ignition problem if using the enricher makes it run better.

As Jim said, it likely has blocked jets, even if you went through it, the idle jets are the smallest and block up easiest. Adding choke covers for that fact. Must clean it all, no port or jet is unimportant.

Idle circuit too rich maybe or need to turn the idle up a little?

If the idle circuit was too rich, adding choke would make it worse. Choke helps it.

I've experienced clogged pilots/pilot circuits a few times before.I carefully cleaned all passages and I ruled
the carbs out. With pilots if you increase the throttle opening you start to go into the idle circuit
and can rev the engine. This won't do that unless you apply the choke.I'm getting unwanted air
from somewhere :banghead

I would increase the idle speed with idle screws so it won't die. Then try to isolate which cyl(s) are causing the problem.
Usually an air leak will increase rpm... too rich will cause the engine to die with throttle. I wouldn't suspect crank seal problem but a crank seal test would tell you if there is any kind of air leak.
