Does anyone have any recommendations for a compression tester?

Thanks, Ed

You want one with a screw in adaptor

Just don't go with a super cheapie. I like the hose type, but it has to have a schrader valve at the end of the hose, and at the top. Or you get the hose volume added and a false low reading.

Also, no matter the gauge, hold the throttle open all the way WOT to do the test, but, MAKE ABSOLUTELY SURE YOU CLOSE THE THROTTLES AFTER COMPLETING THE TESTS.

I still have one from Mac tools that I used many many years ago when I was a car mechanic. Still works good. I'm sure the new ones are made in China now like everybody else's stuff.
