I sent him my H2 trans, he fixed several things and hard welded/back cut -- I'm impressed with the workmanship - highly recommend.
I bought his complete clutch kit too.

Yep on neutral before stopping. John Schlumberger reminded of that too but I usually do anyway.

I'm impressed by the workmanship and the personal touch of talking real-time with Paul several times during this.

He asked what oil I run in the trans and I told him Gear Saver 80 and he said NO>..... I said it was the only thing that my clutch did not slip with. We talked about his clutch kit (sans sale but I respect his opinion) and he said we should all use 10w/30. He said with his clutch kit I should have no slipping. I had 2 of 3 stiffer springs before and still slipped before gear saver.

I'll say the kit it awesome. he says he has them made for him - steels and discs and springs. Ball Bearing pusher keeps the ball bearing
from melting (in racing applications) but a test fit today shows it's perfect.

I talked to Paul last year at one of the races, his work is quite reasonably priced also.

Paul Gast did a transmission for me as well over the winter.
I was very pleased with his work.
On mine I was concerned with the engagement depth of the 2nd gear dogs so I called him.
He coached me through cutting .020 off a shoulder on my out put shaft and putting a .020 shim at the other end.
Nice Guy, fast turnaround and reasonable pricing.

I had Paul bore some 400 cylinders, deck, and plane the intake. Including shipping, the turnaround from my door and back was a week. Paul loves to talk triples and a hell of a nice guy. 8-)
