Much different than a tunnel ram, the cross ram is. Then, we have the much shorter 'Rat Roaster" cross ram on the later 426 Hemi, and the cross ram option for the DZ302 Z28 race engines, both of those were significantly shorter runner designs from the long cross in the picture.

Back in my early wrenching days I had a customer who had one of those.

The old Carter AFB carbs needed accelerator pumps that delivered about a quart of fuel to make it all the way to the cylinders on a cold engine under sudden acceleration.
I think it was a 1965 Chrysler 300.

Modern fuel injection works so much better

I always loved this pic.

I love the quizzical looks from my younger guys when I talk about chambers and two strokes.
They can't dive into a scan tool to figure that stuff out.
It's a ZEN thing.

Oh, John, your bench looks fine to me :-)

Unfortunately...his looks BETTER'n mine! I have too many projects going at any given moment and far too many hanging around on my 8 ft. long bench. Maybe if I had about a 3 ft. I wouldn't have room for clutter?

That bench though. Has anyone seen my 10mm?

Clean bench, dirty mind...... ;) :e11

4 porting jobs going on right now, 5 reed kit builds, a prototype master being designed and molded, a handful of reeds to be modified, and 1 bench........ :wtf:
