Evening all,

I need to ask a jetting question.

I'm going to use TM34 carbs in place of the factory carbs.
I've looked through this site, KTOG, the information site (Thanks Max) and google.

I've found some info that's been helpful.

The carbs I want to use are new and are jetted as follows.

Pilot 45
Main 230. I have 240 and 250 as well.
Slide 4.0
Needle 6FJ6 -2
Needle Jet 389Q6

Pipe

The 3-1 I've posted pics and measurements about on KTOG
I also have a set of mystery chambers that resemble Dencos that I've posted pics of on KTOG. I'm not going to use them right away though.

Engine

72.5 bore with Wossner pistons.
I ported it years ago using 100HP Denco specs.
John cleaned up my work, decked the cylinders. and cut squish heads.
New crank by Dave.

Ignition

Stock factory and it all still works.
Plugs won't be an issue as my automotive suppliers will get me whatever I ask for.

So with the above information in mind, I'd appreciate your opinions.
I'd rather have it a bit fat and blubbery than too lean for break-in.

Back in the day we'd joke about leaning it out till it seizes then going one size richer.

Craig

I did Max,

Thank you.
I saw the specs folks posted for the TM34's on lines 42-44.
I didn't know if there were any other folks here using those carbs on their H2's who wished to share their thoughts.

I would go with what you have, as who knows how the 3 into 1 is going to act anyway. As per sudco, you can put in a huge main jet and get everything else jetted in.

I don't know what 3:1 pipe you got, but I have ran Figaroli 3:1 both With Stock cylinders/VM34 and on heavily ported/VM38 on STREET, not only on my dyno.
If it is the Figaroli pipe you got, you can look forward to impressive low end Power (better than Stock pipes) And if you have ported cylinders as well, they rev to the moon, but the Power will never be higher than With Stock pipes. Atleast minde did, using zeeltronic, 193 ex duration and VM38's

When running the Stock/vm34 configuration, I used exactly same jetting as I did when running Higgspeed. Hopefully that will lead you into correct ball park.

Jørgen
