What's the maximum rear tire size available that's been able to be fitted to a stock H2B swingarm?

It really depends on the brand. Usually a 130 is the widest, but you get tread rollover and traction suffers with the stock rim width.

Yeah, I have a 130 on a 3" Lester and it barely fits if you don't mind it just touching the chain guard and brake stay. It's pretty close to the swing arm, so I'm not sure a 140 would clear that. My goal was not to go really wide, just get the tire size that Bridgestone recommends for a 3" rim.

Yes, I have a 130/80-18 tire on a 3.5" rim. There is sufficient clearance at the swing arm, but I mounted the front of the rear brake torque arm further out, 12mm or so, and shaved the inside of the stock chain guard just a little.

120 is more comfortable than 130 which is very closed from everything (chain guard and brake bracket) but I prefer 110 8-)

A Avon Roadrider 130/70 works very well.

Rim size range for this tire is 3.00 to 4.00
Recommended size is 3.50

That is what I use on my KH500 and it does not wrap as much as some 110 or 120 tires. The chicken strips are very narrow without touching the stock pipes. Avon does make a 130/65-18 roadrace tire that is made for a 2.18 rim.

So my neighbor offered me an Avon AV71 Cobra 130/70R-18. It only has 150 miles on it but it is 5yrs old. You guys think this will clear? I really don't want to modify anything. And I'd hate to pay for mounting just to find out it doesn't fit and have to have old tire put back on.

Also this tire is a radial and my front is a Bridgestone Battleax BT45 100/90-19 Bias ply. Is it still taboo to mix radials and bias plies?
