How about this stuff, which I actually use in my automatic transmission, and it works well:

Uh...for me......NOPE. Now, for my Honda-Matic CB750A 4 cylinder, well, still NOPE.

Not sure if you're talking about the "shudder fixx" Dave, but it's a friction modifier to stop the shudder that the clutches in a lockup torque converter can sometimes have. When I replaced the 318 in my Dodge van with a 360, the lockup clutch would shudder at high throttle in high gear. About 2 miles after I put one of those small tubes of stuff in, it quit the slipping/shuddering. That's been about 3-4 years ago now.

Our friction plate materials are not suited to these additives, I've only seen problems and issues with these additives. Worst is anything molybdenum. I have seen some of the synthetic additives actually dissolve stock friction plate material glue so the material comes off the steel of the plates on early H1 clutches, fractures in the fiberglass backings of the later frictions.

As I said, do as you please. I just don't go out looking to add problems, so, I refrain from using the additives, as my testing shows me they can, and some are more problems than they are worth. Straight natural gear oil works for me, so does natural 4 stroke engine oil.

Now, the only exception to the moly rule has been in the engines I road race prepped, as they all use dry clutches, and no interaction of moly to the friction plates. Wet clutches, NOPE.

I think most of us are with you on that, Dave, in relation to wet clutches. :)

Ha, I only posted about the additive because of its name being similar to the thread title. It works great to stop lockup torque converter shudder. I don't know of any reason to use it anywhere else. :)

I hear you, Jim, lots of things don't cross over from auto to motorcycle, even though over hype company advertising tries to sell it to everyone they can.

Rod, did the "Tans fix" really fix your sun tan??
