Hi - I've got one new Gray repro clutch Cable for my H1 rebuild, but as I want to mount flat bars, the cable will be too long

Any ideas ?

Can you buy a shorter Gray clutch cable anywhere ?

Thanks in anticipation

You would have to find a euro cable, which might be pretty hard. Usually you just have to get creative in the routing.

There is a company I've used several times for this in San Carlos CA (edit -- add name Motion Pro) although in the USA they do incredible work. I told them I needed a Clutch Cable for my H2 4 inches shorter than stock. No problem and it was perfect in every sense. Well made, super high quality, been on my H2 with Super bike bars for years now.

You can use a shorter S2 (350) cable, the O.D. of the cable sheath is smaller, but the wire is the same.....but they are black. The part no. for the original short (euro style) cable is 54011-032, but I haven't seen one for a long time. The part No. might give you something to work with!

Thanks Barry - much appreciated :)
I will try to contact the company. Might as well order at least 2 cables while I'm at it !

Thanks Rod - using the cable from an S2 is tempting, but I'm a bit put off by the black color, though :?

Shorten the one you have... You can buy brass ends and the little metal sleeve that goes on the outer cover, do them myself when needed. Got tired of finding way of routing cables that were too long. Look here:

Thought they were in Europe as well... found it:
