I put a KH400 front wheel on my H1E just to see how close a fit it might be, to my surprise it's a direct bolt on minus the rotor being too small, seems easy enough to drill an H1 rotor holes to the KH wheel  . I still need to accurately measure the axle to see if the KH versus H1 axles are the same size visually they look the same .

Anyone up on putting a KH400 front wheel on a H1E?

Keep us posted! I had the understanding that a swap wouldn't work.

It might not work ,, when a get home tonight I will measure axle diameter , so far the rotor for sure not a fit, all else looks good so far.

The KH500 rotor (& some KZ's) have a 4 hole large disc... not sure if the ID is the same as KH400.
I thought the axle was not compatible.

me too, the UK guys who ride 18 front on H2 fitted a 18 rim with H2 hub. if they could just bolt on the whole 18 wheel sure some would do it.

The spacing between the fork tubes is greater on the H1 so wouldn't the axle have to be longer? Check location of the axle as far as left-right positioning. Does it have some clearance/room to move L/R?
As far as brakes, a custom adapter will place the EX caliper wherever it needs to be to align to the S3 rotor without any other trickery...

My thought was that maybe a KH400 wheel may fit to KH500 forks (both designs changed compared to previous S/H series, but are they the same diameter?) but the length was still my stumbling block...

KH400 wheel with KH400 spacer mounts in H1 frontend :o , only issue I see so far is the rotor , the caliper will not reach the smaller KH rotor, I going to see if the H1 rotor can be drilled to mount on the KH hub

I was under the impression all triples had the same sized stem hole or neck for triple tree etc..
So why wouldn't a complete KH400 or S3 front end work?
Swap the clamps and forks etc all at once, no disc size issues either.

Axle position seems correct , wheel is centered in the forks and did not pull the legs in , all looks good so far .

Probably would bolt up but the KH forks are about 1 1/2 inches shorter than H1.
