Just finished rebuilding caliper, new piston, etc. Now addressing the master cylinder. There is a very good video on the triples site addressing the rebuild. However, when I brought the master cylinder to the work bench and reviewed the video, it didn't address the removal of the outer dust cover. When I depressed the assembly into the bore the dust cover depressed also. I tried pulling it with a set of needle nose pliers, but, it didn't seem to want to budge. Does it just pull off with a pair of needle nose pliers? I didn't see a clip holding it?
This is my first time rebuilding a master cylinder, any help would be great. Like I said earlier, the How to on the triples site looks good, but, doesn't tell you how to remove the dust cover, I don't want to rip it or tear it, even though I have the rebuild kit. Thanks, Robert

There is a plain round wire circlip holding it on, a pick will get it out. They are usually rusty as heck.

After you get dust boot off and before you try prying the cir clip out, soak it in Kroil or BP blaster or such. You do not want to break that C-clip. Another tip, after penetrating oil, fit a socket over the plunger and give the C clip a whack to loosen it up. If if it rusty they can be a pain

Lower right cir clip is the only thing holding the dust boot on. They usually pop right out with small hooked scribe
