Today I discoverd a crack in the steering damper bracket on my H2A.
So it needs to welded, is it enough to disconect the battery, or do I have to disconect anything else to avoid any damage to ignition, charger etc.?

I welded a broken engine mount on my H2 without disconnecting anything. I put the welder's ground clamp securely on the frame near the repair, and there was no problem. As they say, your mileage may vary.

OK thanks.
"Your milage may vary" you mean how long the weld will last...??

No, I meant "Proceed at your own risk." There are no sensitive computers on a triple, and the electronics are all robust old fashioned devices, so it would be hard to cause damage. Attaching the ground clamp near the weld should be enough to provide safety, but if you're welding the damper bracket and a slip of your hand causes the arc to wander to a nearby wire, there will be trouble. In other words, use common sense.

Welded many times - clamp near weld for poops and grins.... nary a problem.
