I was trying to think of something else that size in the pump assembly, but was striking out. :)

Yes, H1 and H1 "wheels" should fully interchange. The difference is inside the pump, in the cam the wheel affixes to, different length of stroke for a given cam position, by altering the stroke / output volume. The original premise is, @ idle, 90:1 to 100:1, full throttle, 20:1. The variable is that the wheel can be infinitely set, which further varies the volume output, from different cam positioning for any given throttle opening setting.

Yes ... wheel, throttle cam, cable pulley ... that thingy that the throttle cable turns ...

Again ... I was in WAY to big of a hurry last night ...
By putting this H2B cam that I have here on my H1 pump I would slightly reduce the overall amount of oiling ... not increase.

See what happens when I just answer stuff without really thinking ??? ... my bad ...

No one is complaining, Darth... Thanks for the information.

It was proven many years ago, the more oil the better. (other than fouling plugs) A lot of to-do about a bit of oil.......

Just a FYI …

I just took apart that 4 hole H2B pump … I am continually amazed at how they used some of the same parts in all these bikes.

The eccentric throw is exactly the same as the H1 and “S” series pumps at .118” of throw. This is the “crankshaft looking” part that the throttle wheel is hooked to. I just put a dial indicator on the eccentric and measure the total throw. I'll bet I could install it in a H1 or “S” pump and it would fit perfectly.

Where the difference shows up is in the piston diameter. The H1 pumping pistons are .350” (9mm) and this H2B piston is .393” (10mm).

So the pumping stroke at a given throttle position is the same as the H1 and the “S” pumps I tested … it's just a bigger piston … neat !!!

I wonder how big of a piston the H2/H2A 3 hole pumps have … I'll bet 10mm ...

Are all these measurements and details summarized yet? It would be a shame not to do that. (haven't checked the resource site, just asking)

I think Dale has some of it ... but perhaps not all.

I can send him my spreadsheet with all the stuff on it ... if he wants it ...

There are several things I haven't checked ... like if the eccentric will "for sure" swap between the H models.
I know you can't swap between the H and the "S" because the flat where the throttle wheel bolts on is about 120 degrees off ...

But still ... I guess the stroke lengths and stuff I have collected over the years might be worth something to someone ...

Darth, that is the kind of Triple info you can't get anywhere and I'd be happy to include it in Resource site info when it is concluded.
