just checked and its 11mm, the gap on the splines is 4.3mm so I cant see the sprocket floating around 4mm plus what keeps the pressure on the spacer to seal the small O ring that arrived in todays post?
keep checking the picture and I dont see what I am missing here?

Hi Mark, your spacer sticks way out more than mine, mine is almost flush with the oil seal
if my spacer came out further then mine would be the same ?? I just dont get it, I just measured the size of my spacer it is 11.85mm in depth, it currently buts up against the bearings behind the seal, the o ring would not make much of a difference to it, the sprocket depth is as reccomended 11mm
Thank you for your picture though,, I see a big difference just dont know what to do now?

Regards
Martyn

I am guessing the po changed the spacer ,you can either replace it or add another on top of that one. To get to th right length,
Good luck mark

you could well be right, to prove a point I am going to space behind the sprocket for now, I fly out in a fe hours time so will nip up the sprocket with a small additional spacer and see if the leak stops in the week I am away :)

odd what some will do like a short spacer? cant see that the bearing will slip back as it butts against a collar

Things like this and the help and answers I get here makes this all fun :D
