Well, she is completely apart. I guess I got the "one out of ten". The kicker shaft broke cleanly in half at the middle e clip. I almost can't believe it given that the shaft must be nearly a half inch thick at that point. Oh well. Off to fleabay.

consider yourself lucky

In the early 80's in the UK there was an advert in a national motorcycle magazine
"wanted Kawasaki H2 kickstart £250 reward"

funny, getting hold of some parts now is more easy than it was when the bikes were a lot younger!!!
