Ian and Mark - thanks. I should start it up today or tomorrow and measure voltage at idle and at 3500 rpm to verify operation. I will post the results here.

I was under the weather for a few days here. I started the bike today and checked the voltage across the battery terminals.

1500 rpm - 13.4 VDC

4000 rpm - 14.5 VDC

This upgrade works just fine. It is easy to install and the cost is reasonable.
