Neat idea. I may do that on my DT100. I haven't lost one from it yet, but I probably will at some point.

Right, in this case the rubber just fell apart under the clamp. It's probably something like polyurethane, where my old K&Ns are probably neoprene or Buna-N. The ones on my H2 are actually 40 years old.
