On the 74-75 H2 cases is the oil passage drilled to the cylinder base port? I know the late cylinders don't have the oil passage drilled but is there a mark on the casting where is would be. I ask because the 72 I bought has 75 cases and until I take it apart I don't dare to run it without premix in case there is no oil going to the pistons. If I pull a carb/intake should I see a oil port if I have early cylinders? Bike has early carbs and oil lines still. I am going to switch out to 72 cases as soon as I can locate a correct set.

The later cases can be drilled out to fit early cylinders. I had Brian H. drill mine and rubber mount them also. I'd run premix until you pull a cylinder.

Pulled the carbs and looks like I still have early cylinders with the oil port in the intake track. Moved the oil pump cam to max at idle and it seems I am getting oil to the cylinders. Still will pull a cylinder to make sure someone has drilled the case oil passage.

74/75 cylinders also had the oil feed hole in them
If you have the later ones you'll have to do the mod to the oil feed hole

I'm confused now, I did read the cylinder mod page. Where they just not drilled all the way through. I'm pulling it all apart anyway to replace the case to the correct early 72 ones.

The 74-75 H2 cylinders had the holes in them, just not the restrictors.

They do have a hole drilled in them already. But don't have the brass jet. You just don't want to drill all the way thru when you drill it out for installation of the #30 jet. This way, the jet is trapped and can't come out.

Or you can go the easy route, and install a al or Brass rod and drill a #76 drill hole.
