Looking at mraxl parts manuals (16010-004?) I don't see that there is/was a washer under the clamp's screw head. Is this correct? (I think I need to find some small washers, no bigger diameter than screw head to fit all three). Tightening a loose carb clamp on my '77 this weekend (with my glasses ON), I can see tiny pieces of metal falling out from that screw area, before all too much torque... (thx, Mark St)

A dot of oil under the screw head should stop it from galling.

Impress your wife with the use of the word like this: "Honey, I find it galling when dinner isn't ready on time."
