Z1 Parts has one for about $87
Doremi offers one for about $110 (this is the red one you see for sale)

Any difference in quality?
Hard for me to believe that there is so much demand that two separate companies went to the trouble to develop stampers for such an esoteric part.
A CLEAN used cover is also great if you have one for sale; this is not for a restoration but a very nice H2 that is ridden often

Jim,

I don't have an answer to your question Z1 Parts vs. Doremi. However I'll babble a bit about side covers.

It seems like left side covers are harder to find.

My H2C's left cover broke at thes tab where it bolts to the frame. I couldn't find one at a decent price so I had a new tab welded on. Painted it black and nobody notices anyways.

My H2A project bike came without a left side cover. I searched for a "deal" for months, finally bought a used one for about $70 shipped.

Some are plastic and some are metal, so check to see if the one you're considering is the type you want.

My bike was a bit of a basket case and came without side covers.
I have fiberglass covers now but want to replace with metal.
I have a nice used right side; the left side covers are more rare as the old batteries leaked and caused them to corode (as well as the left side exhaust).

Meh, covers as can be found. I like nice ones like everyone else but I lived with a left-side all scratched up for 20 years, more. Never see decent ones that aren't scratched or cracked cheap enough. If I'm going to spend 50 for a bad one might as well spend more for a good one.

Bought one last year maybe year before - I forget for around $90. Can't find the email, might have been Z1 (now $100) but nice repop, enameled Kawasaki and perfect fit.

Someone here did a run of pump covers (H2) couple years ago for a reasonable price, I bought 2.

I would LOVE to see a clutch side made. Mines been a ground down with JB Weld Patch for well over 20 years. Forget what crash that one was, might have been one of my freeway slides - I've had a few of those. Probably one of my right-hand Low Side slides, had a few of them too.......

I think (pretty sure) the red-primer Doremi covers are metal, most of the others are F/g.

I've owned both Z parts and Doremi left side covers and both are metal. I think the plastic ones come from the UK.

I think the Z-Parts covers are Doremi, everybody makes fibreglass ones... :)

The fiberglass ones I have are made in the US and I think I got them from Brian H.
Sounds like the Z1 or Doremi units are equally good.

Someone on here used to make them and seems like they even had the document holder spring. Been awhile though. They were metal also.
