Is there a paint code available that will get me close to the correct blue for the stripes on my 69 Mach III tanks?

There won't be an accurate code - or any code for that matter. As a spray-painter, I did a lot of colour-matching by eye, so if you had a sample, (unlikely, I would think) a body-shop could make up some colour for you. I could actually interpret good photos, and get it quite close to original, but I am a long way from you! Must be a Painter with a Triples background who would be able to do the same, there are some great resto's on this site! Porsche Dave, maybe would know someone.

I was going to suggest you pm Dave as well - he's done a few white 69's over the years.

I've seen a few very nice H1's put together by people on this site so I figured someone must know. ;)

I've done several of them. Fortunately (for me) I have an original tank and was able to match the color with (custom mix), as well as the size and placement of the stripe & lettering.

If you don't have a sample to match to, you could get a set of tank lettering decals and match the blue to the letters. The lettering and stripe were painted on originally. But you can get decals (at least for the letters). Even if you don't use the decals, at least you'll have something to match the color with.
