Post subject:  H2 Oil pump cover and front fender question
Hello. for 72 H2's is the oil pump cover different from the later years? If so how do I tell the difference? Also, do other triple front fenders interchange with the 72 H2's?

yes and no
oil pump covers are basically the same
front fenders (and the brackets) are different but all year fit any H2.
71 H2 very early painted and shorter, bracket painted
71 72 painted and longer,bracket painted
73 chromed fender and bracket
74 chromed fender and bracket but different from 73
75 chromed fender and bracket same as 74 (not sure) :mrgreen:

So are other triples like the 500 and 350 have the same front fender as the 750? The reason I ask is I'm restoring a 72 H2 and want to have the correct front fender then have it painted.

Yes the fender and bracket are the same
Not the chromed style
