Post subject:  Remove Spokes?

Hi again

If I am going to have the rear hub and brake cover from my S3 400 powder-coated black, I need to have the stuff down there tomorrow.

Someone mentioned "cutting the spokes off" the rear wheel. I've never done this before. Is this hacksaw or sawzall method, or? I have the tire off the wheel--can they just be unscrewed?

Anything I should do or mark or ? before removing the spokes to make them easier to install?

Plan would be to have the rear brake and hub powdercoated then run new Buchanon spokes and the stock chrome wheel.

Advice welcomed. TIA

Hale

Cut off wheel on a die grinder
With the tire off they will pull out
Take a picture or two of how they go

you guys make things too difficult...

get a cheap "bolt cutter". Harbor Freight has them for $15.00.

No electricity required, no chance of hurting yourself from flying shrapnel...

I'd feel a whole lot better about hitting them with a grinder if I could find SS spokes for BOTH of the wheels.

Seemingly these are the rears but where to find the matching SS fronts?

Same place. Even if they don't list them, they will make them. Just ask...
