I took this H2 in last week from Z1 parts to do a little clean up. This bike was bought on ebay and the seller
claimed the bike was better that it was. Once all the crap was taken off the bike it looks much better
now. It had H1 De-tuned by Bill W pipes held on by zip ties and home made brackets. Pulled the carbs
apart and found crap aftermarket parts. It's amazing how much better a bike will run with correct
Mikuni parts :lol: Pulled the cylinders and was on a fresh set of 72.5 Wiesco's. Who ever did the
motor never wound up the kick starter so that was a easy fix just pulling the clutch cover. The
stock exhaust is from Z1 parts and the chrome is great. These are much louder that Denco's or TNT

So after a week worth of work and some decent parts it's a much better looking and running H2.

That's strange if the stock pipes are loud. It seems like there must be something wrong with the baffles like the little round plates have been removed, or they're not fiberglass-wrapped, or something like that. Very nice work though, Ron.

It's the first H2 I have installed stock pipes on Barry. I don't know if these are louder that original pipes.
I took it around the block just to check the trans and it's a strong motor.

My TNT's have a much deeper sound just like Denco street chambers. I never have heard a H2 with original
pipes so I don't know if these repo's are louder. They fit nice and look great.

Stock pipes are pretty quiet compared to a system like street silenced chambers. If you wonder, there's something odd going on.

The stock exhaust on a H2 is pretty quiet - in the '70's when they started measuring noise, the engine rattle was a lot noisier than the exhaust, so they would load up the fins with damping rubbers to pass the test!!

That looks great, I wish it was mine. In about 4 months mine will be done and then I won't have to be jealous anymore. :D

67Lotus......hey where was the bike picked up from? that candy red CB 750 in the backround looks exactly like the one i sold 1 to 2 years ago.......sold it to a guy in nebraska
it was a 1970 K0 with a wrinkle tank and purple frame paint and exact same rear shocks on it

That is my bike for sure it still has the deep purple colored original side panels.......he must have just painted the tank? where is this guy located?
