How do you like the results on the Triple I vaporblasted last week? The sand-cast looking cylinders and heads turned out perfectly--they always do. The smooth, die-cast crankcases turned out clean and shiny and authentic.
Now, if I can't figure out how to post that picture here, you can find it on eBay motors, in my ad, just search the keyword "vaporblasting".

I will never bead blast again, Grease comes right off and vapor blasting closes the pores. I offer vapor blasting if anybody wants a price send me a pm. Also Sudco Parts cheaper than anybody. :D

To either Jeff or Mach3, what does cases and a set of heads and cylinders run to have blasted? Is there any kind of prep work that the customer should be responsible for to keep costs down, or just send them the way they come off.

On a sort of related topic, maybe moo can answer since he does the work. If heads are going to be worked and cylinders bored and ported, should the blasting(either vapor or glass bead) be done before the machine work or after.

In a short non-technical term, it is media mixed with water to create sort of a slurrie that is then "blasted" onto the part similar to bead blasting.
