Anyone have any experience w/ the repro h1 seat from z1 parts inc? Seems like a great price considering the limited options.

I just got mine two days ago. I haven't tried to fit it to the frame but it looks great, very nicely done. :D

They would do well perhaps by including in their auction an image or two of this seat on an actual early H1...

is the seat frame plastic or metallic, if it's plastic could be the same maker who did the seat have actually fit on my 69 H1, not top quality and the seat doesn't hit the tank as the genuine one does, also the seat silent-blocs are craps (exactly the screw which bolts the silent-bloc on the seat frame) and have one brocken (means the screw so could be repared).

It appears to be metal just like the one they are selling by itself.

I am in the process of redoing my 71 seat. For the seat cover, foam, trim, fastening parts and rubber bumpers you would spend $269. Then you still have to put it all together and look good. Or you can bid on it starting at $240 and take your chances "OR" pay $300 and buy it now without have to assemble.
I emailed "Z1" today requesting a pic of the back end of the seat. I doubt they will get me one, but I'll let you all know.

I've been wondering about these as well.

Someone please post up photos of one INSTALLED once they get it! $300.00 is a good deal if its as good as it looks.

Just hang around with RB at Mid-Ohio and he will find one!
The 69H1 seat the old "blood hound" sniffed out was an original!
