Who is best and at competative prices? I've had stuff done in the past, but I'm always open to suggestions. Thanks!

Terry,

I have been kicking this around for a while now also. I am going to take some parts to a local chrome plating shop. They have done some Kawasaki parts for other board members. No matter where you go it is expensive. I will post my price quotes when I get them. Quality can vary and I have heard from many sources that Brown's is the best ($$$$).

I just had some parts chromed at Pro Plating, a local place here in Atlanta. They did a great job but it is not cheap. I paid $90 for the kickstarter and gear shift lever. I don't know if I overpaid but they came out beautiful.

On Jackman's advice I emailed Brown's for an estimate to chrome 9 rather small parts. Also attached a picture of the parts. I'll definitely need more done later.

Anyway, Brown's quote for the 9 parts was between $265 & $285. Now I don't doubt at all that Brown's does beautiful work, but I thought that was too high for my flimsy budget. I then email a place in Texas I had used a few years ago when restoring a CT70 for my brother. They had done nice work on those parts. Atlas Plating quoted me $110 plus shipping. Quite a difference from Brown's.

Shipped my parts to Atlas Plating the next day.

Once again....I'm not slamming Brown's at all. I'm just looking at the pile of parts I have for this S2A that still need chrome and it looks like I could EASILY wrap up a grand in just chome. :banghead
