I recently picked up an early '72 H2 (serial number 9XX) and I noticed that there is no bracket to hold on the hydraulic steering damper. The frame paint is original and there is no evidence of there ever being one fitted. Did the first ones come without the hydraulic damper?
Thanks,
Kevin

have H2 H2F 026*, there is the bracket on the frame but no hydraulic steering as it was optional in USA and mine comes from USA.

Its the big knob on the trees on the early ones and yours might be the one with only one tube for the motor mount. Make sure that if you put a frame dampner on that it is welded real good.
