Silicone spray should not be anywhere near a paint-shop, it floats in the air a long way, and will cause "fish -eyes" in paint, if it gets on a freshly prepped surface. Good for restoring old Kawasaki rubber parts tho! Oh, definitely not for tyres, it is slippery stuff, and better than "armor-all" on seats - think about it.... !

Magic stuff... I use it all the time. Never but never, as the above poster said get it anywhere near anything thats to be painted. Great for electrical connections, keeps moisture out and stops corrosion. Keeps vinyl soft, protects paint work, revitalises plastic, even tried spraying my face thinking it would make me look younger... those nasty signs of ageing were just too much for it. Also great for chain lube, without all the nasty drips and mess. Cheap at the warehouse.... NZ version of walmart for those foreigners up north of us. Spraying matt finish aluminium prevents it absorbing dirt and finger marks.
