Before I knew about the Caswell tank sealer, I coated the inside of my H2C fuel tank with POR15. The bike & bodyset are currently with BrianH to be restored, and before he paints the tank, I was wondering if it would be wise to re-coat the inside of the tank with different sealer, or just run with the POR15?

What's the life span of POR15 with the ethanol fuels these days? I've been reading around different forums, and you get mixed reviews :? Some say the POR15 resists the ethanol, some say that they have had it peel off?

If I re-seal, does the POR15 have to be removed...or can it be sealed over? I don't want to have to mess with this again and ruin a new paint job...

Caswell states that there is NO NEED TO REMOVE OLD SEALERS and I have used it over several KREEM jobs that have detached from the tank sides. Caswell is really great stuff. I've had it in my TRACY bodied H2 for years with no leaks and it has had fiberglass repair. Use your POR-15 as is and if there's a problem down the raod, know that you can cover it with CASWELL.
