Hello, i have posted on here in the past about a 1974 H2b that my dad found while doing work. I finally bought the bike and she is currently in the garage waiting a restoration. This bike had only one original owner and only 3,000 miles. I purchased this bike for $500 and a promise that the widow of the owner would be able to see the bike looking factory fresh. I will also have the bike photographed and have some pictures framed with the original license plate being returned. While taking the seat off i discovered the original tool kit, owners manual, and insurance card. This bike is a serious find for sure and she will be properly restored and road ready. I will get more photos up soon, thanks too THAD Q who will be the new owner of the gawdy sissy bar. I was lucky to stumble across the original pipes but the bike is missing the center stand and hand grip

So many triples seamed to have been parked with only a few years use.

A lot of bikes are like that really, a couple of years, and time for something newer. I bet the first ride on a Z1 doomed a lot of triples to the barn or used bike line. I did it........

My first ride on a Z1 occurred in 1981. I was unpleasantly surprised with the lack of power until about 7000 rpm. I had stock pipes on my 72 H2 then and it came on the pipe at about 4300. It had good power beginning at 2500- 3000, too. Also the extra 70 or so pounds wasn't too desirable, as well as the lack of wheelies. It was a nice bike, though. I wish I had gotten a chance to top it out.
