Good - cause I had to take it apart again as one of the stops for the trip meter was out of alignment and was sticking out of the face

I can't see how to zero out the total mileage without further disassembly - not that I care.

There's a very tiny circlip thingy that holds the tumblers in place, remove it and roll the numbers back.

No worries - I might try that on my next one (I have two sets). I got it all back together and the ring re-crimped too. I used a really nice pair of Snap-on channel locks I have, using electrical tape on the bottom jaw - and it was a perfect tool to recrimp the ring and no marring.

John,
How did you get the elctronic tach to work on a triple?
I spent plenty of time and money trying to get the SW shift light/tach to work.
Their tech guys were really nice and thought it would work but after a bunck of testing I gave up.

I tried a bunch of stuff also, couldn't get the Vapor to work. Seems Jim Hobbs has his Veypor working.....

I have a tachometer for my 1973 H1 that needs restoring. I need a replacement glass, any idea on what thickness or diameter? I assume maybe 1/8" x 3 3/8". The old glass was already broken when I got the gauge. Is Reproduction Decals a good place to order the gauge faces? Thanks for any information.

Also have my speedo apart and the tumbler white background looks slightly brown and stained with time. Have been told this is impossible to get clean without erasing the black numbers....anyone found a way of cleaning these without loosing the numbers?

RepoDecals offer decals for Yam speedo digits. Maybe they would work for Kaw???
Or, maybe Andre would make some for Kaw, given diameter and width dims?

I talked to Ellen about that issue some months ago and even gave her 69 H1 odometer wheels (stripes) dimensions.
Unfortunately she was not able to help with Yam decals ... finally I bought another NOS Nippon Seiki speedometer and dismantled it for odometer wheels.
