Took my recently restored '69 for it's maiden voyage yesterday, with guages we have restored - - it was LOVELY not to have needles flickering like a metronome . . . . . :thumbup:

Oh, I should point out, I did not miss a gear, the clutch let go . . . teething problems :shh:

Yep, needs looking into . . . On THIS bike it's all "refurbed" stuff . . . . 4 miles in and the left carb puked . . . and kept puking! Thankfully I had a spare fuse in my pocket and blocked the fule pipe to get home on Two cylinders :thumbup: - Turns out that the overflow pipe in the float bowl had decided to jump out of it's socket :o . . . New One on me but an easy fix :)

I thought the objectives of a test ride ran beyond "let's see how fast this sucker goes and how many bikes can I overtake" :roll: :e11 :lol:

|Ermm . . . . Apparently NOT :roll: . . Another rebuild, and another slipping clutch! The guages are the first set I ever built, 14 years ago, before I even knew that they were dampened! :think: . . I DID back off after 1/8th mile :)
