See lots of questions about painting frame and other black parts.
Has anyone used POR 15?
I used it on the seat pan and it worked extremely well (still looks like the day I did it 4 years ago.
It is brush on only and has very long dry time but it is very durable(much like powder coat but not near as thick).
I used it on a couple of pieces and it is very hard and thin.
It is so hard I can not sand it.
It covers well and is easy to brush on.
It is available in various shine levels and even has a high heat version.

I use KBS Rust Seal which is similar to POR. I use MEK thinner to dilute it and I paint it on with a brush. It never goes on flawlessly for me, so I light sand the coating then cover it with gloss black. The coating lasts many years!

I've used POR15 on my car. and it worked very well, but it is important to follow all the 3 steps to get good adhesion. Don't skip the POR15 Metal Prep. It is highly toxic, and must be used with a good respirator.
It flows on nicely, but needs to be top coated for UV protection.

"Top Coat" meaning POR-15 and KBS Rust seal should be considered primer coats. Paint over them with Rustoleum or another high quality paint and you'll be in good shape.
